This construction, built level with the road, serves as the terrace of a small cafe. Its tree-trunk structure and roof made from palm leaves evoke the fantasies of the Abbé Laugier. Its double structure (one wide frame supports the roof, another narrower frame supports the floor) enables wide screens covered in plastic leaves to slide along the main trunks for winter closure, and to be aligned in lower position at the same level as the railings in summer. The cabin is, then, no more than a shaded expansion of the footpath, providing a balcony over the beach.
